Coalition for Air Traffic Innovation and Reform
The Urgent Need for Air Traffic Control Improvements
The Coalition for Air Traffic Innovation and Reform was founded as a response to the need for immediate action on the aging and insufficient air traffic control system in the United States. Industry leaders, labor unions, journalists, and everyday citizens have been increasingly calling for reform after numerous dangerous safety incidents shocked the industry.
In addition to safety, our air traffic control system is responsible for thousands of flight delays and cancellations every year. In a period from September 2023 to September 2024, 5.4% of all flights were delayed due to the "National Aviation System", according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS).
Join us to help shape a better future, with a more robust and modernized air traffic control system.
Our Mission
Dedicated to advocating for better air traffic control, we unite voices for change. We have three simple objectives:
1. Bring together diverse perspectives from industry, government, and labor to better understand the issues plaguing our national air traffic control (ATC) system
2. Educate the public at large on the issues with air traffic management so everyone can advocate for better ATC
3. Leverage the experience of our members to provide concise and actionable recommendations to our political leaders so they can pass policies that fuel improvements and innovation
Our coalition advocates for immediate reforms in air traffic management. By fostering collaboration and political advocacy, we strive to help build the future of air traffic control.
